Tuesday’s Mortgage Interest Rates: Bank of America, US Bank, Capital One on April 26
Mortgage rates began this week at near highs for the month. Most lenders have moved rates higher, quoting the conventional 30-year fixed-rate mortgage at 3.75%. Earlier in April, rates were as low as 3.50%. Last week was the worst week for mortgage rates since November.
Today’s Mortgage Rates at Bank of America
The best rate for a conventional 30-year fixed mortgage at Bank of America today is 3.750% with an APR of 3.860%. Bank of America advertises the popular 15-year fixed loan at 3.000% with a 3.200% APR. Buyers can lock into a 5/1 adjustable rate mortgage with an interest rate of 2.875% for the first five years with a starting APR of 3.390%. The 7/1 ARM is quoted at 3.250% for the first seven years with a 3.479% starting APR.
Refinance rates remain stagnant this week at Bank of America. The 30-year fixed refi loan is published with a 3.750% interest rate — the same as the purchase rate — with a 3.875% APR. Homeowners can refinance into a 15-year fixed home loan at 3.125% with a 3.360% APR. For greater flexibility and the lowest possible mortgage rate, Bank of America advertises a 5/1 refi ARM at 2.875% today with a starting APR of 3.397%. A 7/1 refinance ARM is quoted with a 3.125% interest rate for the first seven years.
US Bank Mortgage Rates
US Bank advertises the conventional 30-year fixed mortgage with an interest rate of 3.875% today with an APR of 3.946%. The shorter-term 15-year fixed loan is advertised at 3.625% with a 3.723% APR. The best rate for a 5-year adjustable rate mortgage today is 2.750% for the first five years with a starting APR of 3.143%. US Bank offers the 10-year ARM with a starting interest rate of 3.500%.
US Bank offers the 30-year fixed VA mortgage today with a 3.625% interest rate and an APR of 3.960%. A 15-year VA loan is quoted at 3.250% today with a 3.844% APR. Buyers can lock into the popular 30-year FHA loan at 3.625% on Tuesday with a 4.682% APR. US Bank advertises the 30-year jumbo mortgage with a 3.875% interest rate and a 3.896% APR.

The more flexible 7/1 adjustable rate loan is offered at 3.125% for the first seven years with a 3.376% APR to start. A 30-year fixed jumbo loan is quoted at 3.625% today with a 3.646% APR. A 5/1 jumbo ARM is offered by Capital One with a starting interest rate of 2.625%.
