Todays Mortgage Rates at Wells Fargo, December 31Interest rates on the most popular home loan purchase and refinance loans showed little change at Wells Fargo on December 31, although rates are trending slightly downward from near 3-month highs. The mortgage rate for a benchmark 30-year loan can be locked in at 4.625% with an APR of 4.712% this Tuesday, while a 30-year FHA loan starts at 4.500% and 6.090 APR. Popular shorter-term 15-year fixed mortgages have a rate starting at 3.875% with a 4.023% APR.

Home buyers after more flexible terms will find the bank’s 5-year adjustable rate mortgages (ARMs) available at 3.500% with an APR of 3.171%. FHA-backed 5-year ARMs have a rate of 3.250% today, with a 3.968% APR.

Wells Fargo Purchase Rates

30-Year Fixed-Rate Mortgage:4.625%, 4.712% APR

30-Year FHA Fixed-Rate Mortgage: 4.500%, 6.090% APR

15-Year Fixed-Rate Mortgage: 3.875%,   4.023% APR

5-Year Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM): 3.500%, 3.171% APR

5-Year FHA Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM): 3.250%, 3.968% APR

As the nation’s top jumbo mortgage originator, Wells Fargo has a range of jumbo loan options for home buyers as well. A 30-year fixed-rate jumbo loan that exceeds conforming loan limits is advertised at 4.500% with a 4.528% APR. A 5-year jumbo adjustable rate mortgage is available at 3.125% with an APR of 2.987%.

Wells Fargo also posted rates for larger conforming loan amounts in eligible areas. A 30-year fixed rate loan is available at 4.750% with an APR of 4.793%. A 5-year ARM is listed at 3.750% with a 3.219% APR.

Refinance rates assume a $200,000 remaining home loan balance on a home valued at $225,000 in Los Angeles, California.
