Today's mortgage rates offered by Citigroup BB&T and SunTrust BanksThe Citigroup today offered the 30-year fixed rate loan at an interest rate of 4.500%, which yielded an APR of 4.667%. The shorter-term 15-year loans were offered at an interest rate of 3.375% capitulating an APR of 3.750%. The best 30-year refinance loan was again offered at an interest rate of 4.500% getting an interest rate of 4.694%. The 15-year refinance loan offered by the bank was advertised at an interest of 3.500% acquiring an APR of 3.810%.

Looking at the BB&T bank, the 30-year fixed rate mortgages were offered at an interest rate of 4.125% yielding an APR of 4.250%. The short-term 15-year loan was offered at an interest rate of 4.375% yielding an APR of 4.931%. The 10-year fixed rate mortgages offered by the BB&T bank were advertised at an interest rate of 4.125% yielding an APR of 4.776%. In addition, the 20-year FRM’s were offered at an interest rate of 3.375% acquiring an APR of 4.023%.

The SunTrust bank on the other hand offered the best 30-year loan at an interest rate of 3.625% capitulating an APR of 3.752%. It further offered the 30-year fixed rate mortgages at a comparatively lower interest rate of 3.400% yielding an APR of 4.458%. The short term 15 year fixed rate mortgages were advertised at an interest rate of 2.800% acquiring an APR of 3.028%. The bank offered the 5-year adjustable rate mortgages at an interest rate of 2.490%, which yielded an APR of 2.927%. In addition, the 7/1 adjustable rate mortgages can be held for an interest rate of 2.600% yielding an APR of 2.927%.

Evaluating the three banks the SunTrust bank offered the lowest interest rates for 30-year fixed rate mortgages at 3.400%. Whereas, the interest rates offered by Citigroup and BB&T stood at 4.500% and 4.125% respectively.
